Philosophy and Objectives

The Philosophy of the directorate of Academic Planning (Academic Support) is to nurture, develop and continuously enhance the academic standard and quality of all the staff and students of the federal polytechnic, Kaura Namoda. The cardinal objective is to produce a very High quality Academic staff that are capable of competing with any institution of similar mandate globally.


Dr Aminu Yusuf,Phd (UUM) M.B.A, BSC, (A.B.U), CNA, ACFE, ACMAN, MNIM Tel No: +2348080324313 Email: Dr Aminu hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Accounting from Un iversiti Utara Malaysia in 2015, He also hold a Master of Business Administration   and Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in the year 2004 and 1998 respectively all from Ahmadu Bello University,  Zaria, Nigeria. He is a Certified National Accountant (CNA), Associate Certified Fraud Examiner,  (ACFE), U.S.A  Associate Chartered Management Accountant of Nigerian  (ACMAN) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) He headed the Department of Accountancy of Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda from 2010-2012, Director Consultancy Services 2015-2019 and Currently Director Academic Planning and a Chief Lecturer in the Polytechnic. Dr,Aminu Yusuf has over 30 National and International Conferences and Journal Publications to his credit. He also authored 2 text books namely: I Basis of Financial Accounting and ii Practical Approach to Auditing and investigations. He is currently a member of the governing council of the polytechnic representing Academic Board, Chairman Library Committee, Chairman Research and Publication Committee, Chairman and Head of all Tetfund Academic intervention and support Programs in the polytechnic as well as heading and serving as a member of so many Management committees and council’s sub committees.

About the Directorate

The Directorate Of Academic Planning is responsible for planning of all Academics Activities of the polytechnic. The Directorate is directly Under the Rector. It is in charge of ensuring accreditation of all Academic Programs of the polytechnic at both National and Higher National Diploma levels, Professional accreditation of all professional programs, Controlling all tertiary education Trust Fund (Tetfund) Academic support Programs and services which includes Academic Staff Training and Development, Conferences and workshops, Manuscript development and equipment Fabrication . The directorate is open to the hole world in terms of academic collaboration and support services as well as Programs.
