Institutional – Based Research (I.B.R)
This is one of the core academic intervention sponsored by the Tetfund and which many staff (Academic) have equally benefited. The essence of the Institutional Based Research is to encourage aspect of research, innovation, and development in the local community. The intent is to have a research – based society which is expected to be a catalyst for national development.
Under this intervention, an intending academic staff submit his proposed research work to the research and publication committee for assessment, After assessment and possible correction, and conformity with enshrined format/guideline, the institution forward same to Tetfund for consideration and possible approval. Funds are disbursed to the institution by the Tetfund, to sponsor the researchers. The Polytechnic pays the respective scholars and evidence of the publication arising from the work be forwarded to Tetfund for verification and authentication. So far over eighty one (81) academic staff of the Polytechnic have benefited from this line of intervention.
