Preambles
The Department runs Food Technology in both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma. The programme is designed to produce food preservation and processing technicians/technologists capable of carrying out the work of preservation of food commodities in the field and in the industries.
Programme Objectives
- Carry out biological and chemical analysis of raw and processed foods,
- Carry out all types of industrial food processing and packaging,
- Store agricultural produce for industrial use,
- Carry out quality assessments of raw and processed foods,
- Develop and manage food and other agro allied enterprises.
