Welcome To the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda

Rector Dr. Aminu Yusuf was born in the ancient city of Kaura Namoda on the 28th January, 1974. He started his early childhood education at the Umaru Mamuda Primary School and Mal. Amadi , Tsofuwar Tasha , Kaura Namoda. He then proceeded to the Namoda Secondary School for his ' O' level and the State College of Arts and Science, Sokoto for his IJMB and 'A' level. He attended the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and obtained his Bachelor of Science ( Bsc ) degree in Accounting (1998) and Master's degree ( Msc) from the same institution in 2004. Furthermore, he proceeded to the Universiti Utara, Malaysia where he obtained his PhD in the year 2015. He is an Associate Certified Fraud Examiner (USA), Certified National Accountant, Member, Nigerian Institute of Management ( NIM) and a Quality Assurance Assessor ( QAA). He has worked in the Office of the Auditor - General of the Federation, Abuja (2001 to 2007) before joining the services of the Polytechnic. He rose through the ranks of an Assistant Lecturer to that of a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Accounting. He has held many positions of responsibilities which include : the Head of Department, Accountancy (2010 - 2012), Director, Consultancy Services (2015 - 2019), Member, Governing Council (2016 - 2018), Director, Academic Planning (2019 - 2021) and the Director, Skills Development Centre (2021 to the date). He was appointed as the substantive Rector by the President and Commander in - Chief of the Federation, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the 4th February, 2025. He has attended various seminars and conferences both local and foreign He is happily married and blessed with children..
